Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts have a lot of fun doing a lot of interesting things! There are games to play, codes and skills to learn, places to see and new friends to meet.
The Cub Scout program is based on an award scheme which allows the Cubs to start developing a sense of achievement and self reliance. The program is designed specifically to meet the development needs of children in this age group. It provides opportunities for the children to develop:
- standards against which they can measure themselves
- growth in self discipline and self respect
- a sense of achievement
- leadership skills
- sense of fair play and justice
- ability to make the right choices and decisions
- ability to meet challenges
- learning by doing
Cub Scouts all help each other, and try to help other people too.
Life as a Cub Scout is full of adventure and teamwork. As a member of a‘Six’ you and your Pack will work together to explore the world.
Your Cub Scout Leader will help you along the way and encourage you to participate in Scouting activities. You’ll learn life-long skills and participate in the Cub Scouts Award Scheme and earn badges, make friends and have fun!
